MARS stands for: MOBILE, ANTI-TRAUMA, RESPONSIVE AND SELF SUSTAINABLE, and It is an innovative self-powered mobile response system designed with freight containers, attached to a truck, which can be swiftly driven to disaster scenes following a humanitarian disaster.
At safest location closest to the disaster, several trucks can be coupled to build a mini-healthcare and an anti-trauma early childhood unit and shelter. The environment will be specifically designed for children (or mothers), and equipped with facilities to provide continuous support of first aid and physical needs.
MARS generates its energy through an ingenious system, based on simple energy conversion physics. The mechanical energy of the truck automobile system is converted to direct currents, stored it their batteries. The batteries will be used to generate alternating current, through an innovative high performance inverter technology. The batteries will be continuously charged with the inbuilt charging system of the trucks or Solar panel as an alternative energy source which can be constructed as the entire roof of the trucks depicted in our scaled model.
Furthermore, our concept includes maintaining a MARS online platform/social media such as Facebook/blogs where the public can easily post notification of disaster events, gather donations, volunteering options and providing updates on further developments to the public.
