This project is based on the need to reinvent and improve the way food is produced and consumed in order to contribute to the reduction of hunger, malnutrition and poverty, through the conservation and management of natural resources, recycling of nutrients, preservation of agrobiodiversity, increasing at the same time the livelihoods, and provide food security and nutrition. In this context, we aim at technifying, implement and evaluate biointensive food gardens and honeycombs to improve the production of nutritious organic food in rural-urban family agriculture. The technification of these gardens will be seen in technological food garden kits, adecuated for monitoring, easy handling, and better labor conditions in the production of fresh foods. The food garden kits are based on the agro-ecological models keyhole garden, Hügelkultur, wicking beds and the beehive combines the Mason jar and Langstroth hive models in an exagonal shape.
